Interior design is more than the general notion of selecting furniture and finishes. Space planning is an essential step in the interior design process and organizing the living or work space, furniture and functionality of the space enables better use of the space. Space has a greater impact on our mood and physical wellness.
Air pollution is a major environmental risk factor and responsible for scads of diseases such as asthma, lung cancer, ventricular hypertrophy, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, psychological complications, autism, retinopathy, fetal growth, and low birth weight. Environmental air pollution has been talked about in length where lobbyist bat for more machines and environmentalist fight for efficient systems. But less is spoken about the air inside our homes, in our public spaces, at our workspaces. It’s time we think about them. This post was written a few years back. Lever, Pulley & Screw! The idea of a machine was developed back in 3 B.C.E with simple machines. Today, we live in a world where there are zillions of machines around us, working tirelessly, communicating with each other relentlessly, building for us, cooking for us, chauffeuring us, guarding us and helping us. Congratulations! We have successfully created the third sex: Machines (μηχανη).
